The AC-14 pump is a single-stage gearbox-driven pump. The gearbox is mounted directly on the drive motor. It features all bronze construction with pump housings, impeller, and inducer all made from bronze. The all bronze construction makes the pump ideal for use in liquid oxygen service in addition to other cryogenic liquids. The gearbox provides an efficient means of significantly increasing the pump speed for higher heads and flows. Pump internal efficiency is maximized by the incorporation of minimum recirculation wear rings.
